Junior golf represents the future of the game in this country, and The Golf Canada Foundation developed the Junior Development Fund to introduce children to the sport in fun and engaging ways. The fund supports several initiatives such as Golf In Schools, which introduces children to the benefits of golf through elementary and high school physical education classes. Golf Canada Foundation is also partnering with selected Provincial Golf Associations to introduce more children to the game. Currently Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Alberta each have a respective Junior Development Fund with the Foundation, which provide youth in each province with access to the sport of golf and the opportunity to develop their skills regardless of their financial circumstances.
Golf Canada Foundation proudly supports student golfers at Canadian post-secondary academic institutions. The Foundation continues to award scholarships to students, and grants to Canadian university/college golf programs on an annual basis, to foster growth and improvement throughout the Canadian collegiate golf system.
